Wine Festival in Chisinau, 2016!
DON’T BE LATE FOR THE NATIONAL WINE FESTIVAL IN MOLDOVA THAT WILL TAKE PLACE IN OCTOBER 2016, FIRST WEEKEND, IN THE VERY HEART OF CHISINAU – CENTRAL SQUARE “STEFAN-CEL-MARE”!
Since gaining independence, Moldova, a country with wine and winemaking traditions, has a day each year dedicated to Wine, when after the grapes have been harvested, the wine poured out of the wine press and put into barrels, one can raise a glass of young wine (“tulburel”).
The “National Wine Day” Festival has been established by Parliament’s Decree 433-XII from December 26, 1990 on Holidays and rest days in Moldova. And by Government’s Decree 988 from July 23, 2002 “it is decided that the Wine Festival will take place every year along with the celebration of the National Wine Day”.
Various events will take place during the two days, like: the official opening of the festival, presentation of wine products made by participants, public and professional wine tastings, presentations, contests, artistic and theatrical programs, touristic offers, displays of handcraft objects of folk craftsmen and national cuisine, and so on.
Visitors and guests of the festival will have the chance to taste the aroma and bouquet of Moldovan wines, familiarize themselves with the national culture, traditions and customs.
